So, I enjoyed the game, but something I do want to bring up is while I was playing, I felt like the choices and their outcomes were different than what they were presented to be. For example, when we're stocking with Simon and we tell him "it's fine", we don't actually tell him it's fine. We give him politer dialogue in the other option that actually assures him, while the more seemingly polite option feels like it brushes him off and makes him apologize again. And with interacting with our red eye guy Seth, I chose to answer confidently but was still stuttering and showing hesitance (which was the other option), and it made it harder to actually understand the impact of my choices in the demo.
It kinda felt like I was playing Telletale's TWD and I chose an option that made everyone hate me at times, because wydm telling this man he's fine upset him? Wdym brushing him off is actually the KIND option??? WDYM EVERYONE WILL REMEMBER THIS--it was something that pulled me out of the fun a bit and made me feel like no matter what I chose I'd just go back and see what the other options would have been anyway instead of being happy about what I chose which I don't think was intended.
I would really push for being more transparent with players and what their options will lead to. And this is just a personal gripe I have with certain interactions--but I would be interested in seeing if it be possible to let us decide how we feel instead of deciding FOR us! I noticed with interactions we felt flustered and shy and embarrassed, and I think it could help give players a bit more freedom (if you choose to include it) in deciding how they feel about someone--if our red man is too flirty or if we enjoy it or if we're just vibing, if simon is too skiddish, if we're similar and bond over that, or if we can be neutral, and with Zach if he's too british for us to stand (/LH), yada yada you get the gist. I feel like that could also help, because I felt like I didn't actually have much control of 'myself', and I think in a game like this that would be very fun to actually see more of :)
It was still enjoyable, I enjoy the men, hope they're toxic and hard for me to defend, good luck with the development of your game <3
